Budget's tight but security is my top priority after our neighbor got broken into. Looking at door options that won't bankrupt me but will actually keep intruders out. Ideas?

Security doesn't have to cost a fortune! After our break-in scare, we researched everything and steel doors turned out to be the best value. They're practically impossible to kick in compared to wood or fiberglass. Found ours at https://www.elegantentrydoors.ca/entry-steel-doors/ and the prices were really reasonable for what you get. The peace of mind alone is worth it - these things are built like tanks with reinforced frames and multi-point locking systems. Insurance company even gave us a discount for upgrading. Pro tip: look for ones with foam cores for insulation too. Kills two birds with one stone - security plus energy savings
